Mary A. Childress Dallas Morning News – 11 Feb. 1916 Roscoe, Nolan Co., Texas , Feb. 10. – Mrs. Mary A. Childress, widow of Judge R. G. Childress, died here Thursday, aged 71 years, 10 months and 10 days. Mrs. Childress was one of the pioneer settlers of West Texas , having lived in Roscoe for some twenty-three years. She is survived by seven children, two daughters and five sons. They are Miss Fannie Childress of Roscoe; Mrs. W. M. Vaughan of Dallas ; R. T. Childress of Foss, Ok.; J. C. Childress of Trent ; J. W. Childress of Marfa, C. E. Childress of Carriso Springs and F. P. Childress of Dallas . {Submitted by Marla Zwakman}
