Georgia Lou Rice, 75, a native of Happy, Texas, and resident of Gray, La., died at 4 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Rice of Gray; three sisters, OmaGene Richey, Doris Kennedy and Peggy Russell; three sons, Larry Rice of Carlsbad, N.M., Keith Rice and wife Laura of Houston, and David Rice and wife Sandra of Prairieville; one daughter, Lee Estock and husband Karl of Atlanta; and 10 grandchildren, Jamie Andersen and husband Nils, Jennifer and Stephen Rice, Ryan Porche, Jesse, Jason, Randi, Dillon and Cassidy Rice, and Jake Estock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Walter and Beulah Kennedy, and seven brothers and sisters, Patricia Bates, Buster Kennedy, Billy Kennedy, Viola Horton, Velma Gayle, Sue Bookout and Jimmie Lee Blount.
