BIOGRAPHIES
MOORE, B. F.
Probably one of the most widely known business men in the county and a man well known in the east end of the county is B. F. Moore of Chireno. Mr. Moore has the distinction of having been in business continuously for 38 years at his present location, a longer period than any other merchant in the county following the same line all the time.
Mr. Moore believes in the greatness of Nacogdoches county and more especially in the future of the Chireno oil sector.

RUSK, JOHN
A man little known to many of the younger people of our county and new people who have moved here in the past few years is John Rusk, 84, who lives within a half mile of where he was born, four miles northeast of Nacogdoches, on the Logansport Road. Mr. Rush as many well know is the nephew of the famous Gen. Thos J. Rusk of early Texas history. But he is also a son of the first sheriff of Texas, Mr. Dave Rusk, who served in that capacity in Nacogdoches in 1838. Mr. Rusk is still hale and hearty and takes a lively interest in the happenings of the present day world.
