BYERLY
Funeral services for Wirt A. Byerly, 68, of Route 3, Box 23, Jasper, will be held Saturday at 10 a. in. in the Burkeville, Texas, Community church. Mr. Byerly, a lifelong resident of the Jasper and Burkeville area, died Tuesday at 1:30: p. m. n the Veterans Administration hospital in Houston following an illness of two and one-half months. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted In the Burkeville cemetery by the Burkeville Masonic lodge. Arrangements are under direction of the Levingston Funeral home of Groves. A native of Burkeville, Mr. Byerly was a retired construction welder, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Grand Chapter of Royal Arts Masons and the Greenlake Masonic Lodge 149, F and AM of Seattle, Wash. Mr. Byerly is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marvin Erickson ; Bloomington, California.

NEWTON — Funeral services for Jessie Franklin Love, 27, who died Monday in Orange Memorial hospital, will be held at 2 m. in Sycamore church near Burkeville. : The Rev, Sam Strickland will ; officiate. Burial will be in Sycamore cemetery under direction ; of Griner Funeral home of Newton. Mr. Love was a former. resident of Burkeville and was an operator for Texaco refinery in Port Arthur. He is survived by a daughter Brenda Love of Newton, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Love of Burkeville, five brothers; Robert Love Jr of Deridder, La, Johnny Love of Houston, and Tommy, Gary, and Terry Love all of Burkeville, and three sisters Mrs. Jimmy Baugh of Houston and Mrs., Shirley Day of Monahans, Tex. and Dorothy Love of Burkeville; and grandmothers, Mrs. Leona Brooks of Burkeville and Mrs. Lydia Love of Bon Wier
