| Killed by a Tram Engine Big Sandy , Tex , Aug. 7 - Joe Edgar a young man , whose parents reside here was killed at Gilmer Saturday morning by the tram engine and cars of the Commercial Lumber company . Moughan, a resident of Upshur County for many years, died at 5 o’clock this afternoon at the residence of his son, ex-Sheriff S. J. Moughan. W. J. Sanders Dallas Morning News – 25 Jan. 1894 Gilmer, Upshur Co., Tex. , Jan. 23. – W. J. Sanders, who resided six miles west from Gilmer and who was shot by some one through a window several days since, a report of which was published in The News, died last night from the effects of his injuries. T. J. Ragland Dallas Morning News – 25 Jan. 1894 T. J. Ragland died yesterday with pneumonia and will be buried today. Mrs. J. B. Oliver Dallas Morning News – 26 Feb. 1897 Gilmer, Upshur Co., Tex. , Feb. 25. – Mrs. J. B. Oliver, wife of the district clerk, died last night of congestion. They had been married almost one year. |
