Were Recently Married At Gatesville.
Mr. and Mrs. James T. Rayford

Gatesville, Texas, July 4.--James T. Rayford and Miss Laura Priddie of Gatesville were recently married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Priddie. Both young people are prominent in social circles. The bride was born in Gatesville and Mr. Rayford came to Gatesville several months ago from Aquilla to engage in the mercantile business.

Married Wednesday At Gatesville.
Joseph C. McElhannon (of Waco, Formerly of Dallas) & Mrs. Joseph C. McElhannon

Gatesville, Texas, July 29.--Miss Minnie Sadler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey S. Sadler of Gatesville, was married to Joseph C. McElhannon of Waco yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist Church here. The wedding was of special interest to Baylor University people, as Mr. McElhannon was prominent as a student at the school in 1907-08-09 and is now a member of the university faculty as professor of English.

 

The minister performing the ceremony, the Rev. J. C. Boyd, was a collegemate of the bridegroom at Baylor, as were also the best man, Paul Kayser of Houston, and the ushers, Jesse Guy Smith of corsicana, R. L. Turner of Ennis and Dr. Albert L. Jones of Cleveland, Ohio.

 

The bride is the daughter of one of the oldest and most prominent families in Gatesville and is well-known for her accomplishments and charm. She was educated at Gatesville and at Baylor University.

 

Mr. McElhannon was a teacher in the Dallas High School last year. He was born and reared in Mount Vernon and was a student at Burleson College at Greenville. He was very prominent at Burleson College and at Baylor University as an orator and debator and was class president of the class of 1909 at Baylor. He is also well known in Corsicana, where he was a teacher in the public schools prior to coming to Dallas.

 

The maid of honor was Miss Louise Sadler and the bridesmaids were Misses Alta Schreiber, Jessie Lee Crow and Margaret Royalty, all of Gatesville.

 

Mr. and Mrs. McElhannon left after the ceremony for San Diego, San Francisco and other Pacific Coast cities. They will be at home after Sept. 16 at 1406 South Eighth street, Waco.

Two Weddings At Gatesville, Tex.

 

Gatesville, Tex, May 25--Mr. W. A. McBeth, Jr and Miss Elma Davidson were married yesterday evening at the bride's home, three miles from this city.

 

Sam Hayes and Miss Dollie Seelwick were united in marriage yesterday evening at the residence of the bride's mother in this city.
