A Delta County Killing 
 

A general fight between two families results in the death of William Wilson: Paris Sep 9---News has just reached this city of the killing of a man named William Wilson, near Cooper, in Delta county, yesterday afternoon. by Harrison Hobbs. A feud had long existed between the Hobbs and Wilson families, and yesterday Wilson and his son-in-law Tom Young, went to a field where Charley Hobbs was at work and a fight ensued. Word was brought to Harrison Hobbs that his son was being beaten to death. He rushed to the scene with his shotgun and a general fight followed in which Wilson was killed. Hobbs has been arrested.

Paris, Tex., May 27.--Col. J. C. ELLIOTT, late of this city, died at his son's, in Delta county, Saturday afternoon, and was buried yesterday. Col. ELLIOTT was 60 years of age and a devout member of the Christian church.
