Tom Bell
HILLSBORO TEXAS -- Ex-Sheriff of Hill County Dies of Illness at Fort Worth.  Special to The News, Hillsboro, Tex., Dec. 16.—Late advices from Fort Worth bring the Intelligence of the death at 5 o'clock this afternoon of Tom Bell, who served, altogether, ten years as Sheriff of this county, and ranked as one of the best criminal detectives in the State. Tom Bell was a leading member of the Sheriffs' Association and well known in political circles throughout the State. For the last two or three years he has been living in Amarillo. where he has been engaged in railroad detective work. His daughter. Mrs. Addle D. Warren, and other relatives, being apprised of his critical illness, left here for Fort Worth this evening. He was taken sick a few days ago at Temple, where he had gone on business. Death is said to have resulted from congestion of the bowels. It was not known until this morning that his condition was critical. The remains will arrive here tomorrow, but the date of burial will not be fixed until the family and relatives can be beard from. [Dallas Morning News, 1905-12-17, submitted by Janice Rice]

HILLSBORO TEXAS -- July 31- Mrs. Nanny M. Herrin, who lately moved here from Louisiana, died last night age 82

HILLSBORO TEXAS, August 4- Mrs. Sally Poland, died here today aged 64 years.

Hazel Dean Johnson Gullatt

Hill County, TX  "Hazel Dean Johnson Gullatt, 65, of Whitney, Texas, formerly of Columbia, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at her home.  Services were held at 3 p.m. Monday,  Oct. 9, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Chapel in Whitney with Allan Lane of the Fort Graham Baptist Church officiating.  Bural was in Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro, Texas.  Mrs. Bullatt was born Jany. 29, 1935, in Columbia to Iven and Lila Ruth Nichols Johnson.  She married Vernon Gullatt on March 30, 1968, in Dallas, and he survives.  Mrs. Gullatt was a 1953 graduate of Hickman High School and worked at MFA Insurance Co., now Shelter Insurance, before moving to Texas.  Survivors also include her mother of Clifton, Texas.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of Pat Adrean, 377 Carr, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.  [The Columbia, Missiouri, Daily Tribune, dated Oct. 14, 2000 submitted by:  Robert King.]

S. B. Davis 
S. B. Davis, a mechanic, about 45 years of age, died Thursday night in a local hospital of influenza. The body will be shipped
to Itasca, Tex., this afternoon by  McBean, Simmons & Hartford. [El Paso Herald  El Paso, Texas  October 18, 1918.

Virgie Ann Hillmer 
Mrs. Virgie Ann Hillmer, wife of Theo. Hillmer, died last Monday at 2:30 p.m., after an illness of only a few days. Her demise
was quite a shock to her husband  and friends. The funeral took place at 4 o’clock Tuesday evening, interment in the O. D. 
H. S. cemetery.

Mrs. Hillmer’s mother, Mrs. Addie Pierce, of Range, arrived in the city at 3 o’clock Monday, but not in time to see her
daughter alive. The bereaved husband  and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.   [Shiner Gazette  Shiner,

Edmund A. Huebner 
The sad news was spread through the city last Friday morning, announcing the death of little Edmund A. Huebner, aged
about 17 months. The little one had been sick for some time with congestion of the bowels, the disease could not be
controlled and resulted fatally. The funeral took place Saturday morning and the  interment was in the O. D. H. S. cemetery.
The sorrowing parents have the sincere sympathy of all their friends in their deep affliction.   [Shiner Gazette, Shiner,  Texas,
