Arthur City (unincorporated) Arthur City is on the Red River at the intersection of Farm Road 197 and U.S. Highway 271 in extreme north central Lamar County. Blossom Blossom is on the Missouri Pacific Railroad and at the intersection of Farm Road 196 and U.S. Highway 82 in Lamar County. Brookston (unincorporated) Brookston was established in 1870; it became the temporary terminus of the Texas and Pacific Railway when completion of the road was delayed during the panic of 1873. Chicota (unincorporated) Chicota is near the Red River one mile north of Pat Mayse Lake in northern Lamar County. Cunningham (unincorporated) Cunningham is on Farm Road 196 near the North Sulphur River in southeastern Lamar County. Deport (partly in Red River County) Deport is on Highway 271 at the Red River county line in southeast Lamar County. It was founded in the late 1800s by Col. Dee Thompson. Paris Paris Texas is the County Seat of Lamar County. It is on U.S. highways 271 and 82 in the central part of the county of Lamar in the upland separating the tributaries of the Red and Sulphur rivers.	Pattonville (unincorporated) Pattonville is a farming community at the junction of U.S. Highway 271 and Farm Road 196 in Lamar County. Petty (unincorporated) Petty is a rural community at the junction of U.S. Highway 82 and Farm roads 137 and 1509 in Lamar County. Powderly (unincorporated) Powderly is on U.S. Highway 271 in north central Lamar County. Reno Reno is on U.S. Highway 82 adjacent to Paris in Lamar County. Roxton Roxton is at the junction of Farm roads 137 and 38 in southwestern Lamar County. Sumner (unincorporated) Sumner is on Farm Road 79 in northwestern Lamar County. Sun Valley Toco Toco is a farming community on U.S. Highway 82 in western Lamar County.
