Description: Obituary Major B. M. Burrow

Corsicana, TX --The remains of Major B. M. Burrow, formerly district attorney of this the thirteenth district, was buried from the union depot this afternoon at 6:30 o'clock. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church in the presence of a large number of people, including the prominent members of the Corsicana bar association. Major BURROW died in Galveston last Monday night of consumption. His home was in Groesbeck, but his friends selected Corsicana as his last resting place.

Description: Obituary Dr. Joseph J. MCCAIN

Mexia, Tex., July 25.--Dr. Joseph J. MCCAIN died last night at 9 o'clock at his home in this city and was buried this evening at 5 o'clock. Every business house in the city was closed during the funeral showing the honor and respect he was held in by his fellow-citizens. The funeral procession was the largest in the history of the city and was participated in by the masons, knights of honor, knights and ladies of honor, ancient order of united workmen and knights of pythias, of all which orders he was a member.

He came to Limestone county, Tex., in 1869 to practice his profession. May 1, 1871 he married Miss Ada, oldest daughter of Judge D. M. PRENDERGAST. He has been a resident of Mexia since the town was started in 1872 and took an active part in all matters tending to the building up of his town and county; was a city alderman, having served three consecutive terms. He had all those qualities of heart and mind that gain the affection and respect of our fellowmen. He leaves a wife and five children well provided for.

The infant son of J. C. HARPER, editor of the Mexia Ledger, died yesterday morning and was buried in Mexia cemetery yesterday afternoon.

NUSSBAUM- Mexia Tex. July 14 The remains of Mrs. Sol Nussbaum who died in Groesheack Monday, arrived here Tuesday evening and were laid tor rest in the Jewish Cemetery. Rev. W.H. Greenburg of Dallas officiated.  [Submitted by B.Z.]

Groesbeck , Texas , June 30. – Mrs. Amanda K. Cayton, 72 years old and a resident of Groesbeck for forty-two years, died at her home in this city Saturday afternoon and was buried here today at Faulkenberry Cemetery . The Rev. C. B. Knight of Ennis conducted the funeral. The pallbearers were L. B. Cobb, J. C. Kimbell, W. C. Basden, W. L. Jackson, Fred Oliver, A. R. Henderson, L. W. Oliver, Dr. D. N. Rankin, Ira Lawley, J. H. Wolverton and W. A. Browder. Mrs. Cayton is survived by the following children: Mrs. A. M. Harral of St. Louis , John F. Cayton of Mort and Mrs. Cora Ferguson, Misses Ruth and Carrie Cayton and B. A. Van, and W. K. Cayton, all of Groesbeck. [Submitted by Marla Zwakman]
