Dallas Morning News Weatherford,
TX, Sept. 8 – The tax rolls of this county were approved by the
Commissioners’ Court on Monday, and Tax Collector J.F. Buster reports
that four property owners have already paid for their taxes for 1909.
The payment of taxes has thus begun even before the Collector is
authorized by law to issue poll tax receipts.
The force in the Tax Collector’s office is at present busily
engaged in making up tax receipts for the contemplated rush later.

| Dallas Morning News 09-06-1901 Weatherford, TX, Sept. 5 – Deputy District Clerk John Lionberger received the decision of Judge J.W. Patterson today in the local option contest case. The motion to dissolve the injunction, granted by District Judge Smith of Fort Worth and made returnable to the regular October term of court at this place, was overruled and the injunction perpetuated. The case will now come up for trial on its merits in October and will very likely be in the courts for some time, during which time the saloons will continue to do business. | Dallas Morning News 04-28-1900 Weatherford, TX, April 27 -The jury in the case of the State of Texas vs. Charlie Carroll, tried here yesterday on a charge of arson, brought in a verdict of five years in the penitentiary. The change is occasioned by the fact that March has five Mondays this year. Morning News 20 Nov. 1900 Weatherford , Tex. , Nov. 17. – Mr. E. M. Fisher, aged about 90 years, died at his residence on Columbia street in this city today. He has been a resident of this county for over twenty-five years.
