Mrs. L. L. Allison

IRVING—Mrs. L. L. Allison. 64, of 111 E. 7th, an independent public accountant died here Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in Ben. F. Brown Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Big Wells Cemetery, Dimmit County. She is survived by her husband one son, one daughter and one brother. J. H. Broadhurst

Funeral services for J. H. Broadhurst of Laredo, longtime exhibitor at the State Fair of Texas, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County. Broadhurst died Friday In Laredo, where he had lived for several years. He annually brought the Winter Garden exhibit, sponsored by the Carrizo Springs Chamber of Commerce, to the fair. Broadhurst is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Otto A. Gardner of Laredo, with whom he made his home.

Hugh D. Davis
Funeral services for Hugh D. Davis, 83, of 6606 Prestonshire, a building contractor, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Northway Christian Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Davis died Saturday in Carrizo Springs, Dimmit County. A native of Alma, Ellis County, he had lived in Dallas for 30 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Northway Christian Church. Survivors: Wife; a son, Hugh Bradford Davis of Dallas; a daughter, Miss Vicki Ruth Davis of Dallas; father, Zeb Davis of Ennis; three brothers, Randall Davis, Henry Davis and Ronald Davis of Dallas, and four sisters, Mrs. Jack Foster and Mrs. Clayton Brown of Dallas, Mrs. Randall Aston of Sherman and Mrs. Ben McBroom of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Isham Dimmit

Old Negro Dead
Seguin, Tex July 30
Isham Dimmit one of Seguin's old time negros, died here this morning after a long illness. Isham has been a well known figure here for fifty years. He was a former slave of the well known Dimmit family for whom Dimmit County was named. He was an expert meat cutter, which has been his calling for many years.

Hortense Dimmit Gregory
Death Claims Miss Gregory at Age of 73
Miss Hortense Dimmit Gregory, 73, a resident ot Ellis(?) for more than twenty-three years, died Monday at her home, 3413 Dartmouth, after a long illness. Miss Gregory taught school in Sherman before coming to Dallas in 1930 to go into the book business. She represented three book publishers in dealings with public school systems of this area. Surviving are four sisters. Mrs.H. L. Patty and Mrs. S. B. Mitchell, both of Dallas; Mrs. R. L. Morrison of Graham and Mrs. Roberta Bloomer of Lehigh, Okla., and two brothers, J. W. Gregory of Weleetka, Okla., and C. P. Gregory of Graham. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Ed C Smith & Bro. Chapel, 1811 Ross. The Rev. W. A. Welch of the East Dallas Christian Church, where Miss Gregory was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Sherman.

Mrs. Marie Mosley
Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Bleifuss Mosley, 60, of Carrizo Springs, Dimmit county, wife of Wayne Mosley of Dallas, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Mission Methodist Church in Mission, Hidalgo County, with burial in the Mission Cemetery. Mrs. Mosley, a native of Rochester, Minn., died Tuesday in a Houston hospital after a short illness. She was a retired Carrizo Springs school teacher.
