Angie Mercer Services for Miss Mercer, of Rt. 3 Box 643, Seguin, were held on Sunday, April 1, at the First Baptist Church in Seguin where she was a member. Rev. George Schultze officiated. Graveside services followed at Oak Wood Cemetery in Hondo. Funeral arrangements were made by Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin. Miss Mercer is survived by her parents, Sidney and Linda Mercer of Seguin; two brothers. Doug and David Mercer of Seguin: paternal grandparents, Vernon and Edna Grunewald of Yancy: and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tondre of Hondo. Pallbearers were Russell Falor, Glen Billings, Harold Lamm, Bart Sutton. Chester Patten officiated. Interment was in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home. Miss Miller is survived by her mother, Mrs. Delrose Miller of Seguin: one brother, Joey Miller of Houston; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jubela of Seguin and Mrs. George V. Miller, sr., of New Braunfels; and a great-grandparent, Mrs. Scott Miller of Dangerville. Pallbearers were Mark Haines, Quinton Kiolbassu, Don Baer, David Beck, Paul Fritz III and Tommy Rowley. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Merz, Bart Sutton, Glen Billings, Clint Plant, Eric Krause and Jay Harkins. {April 5, 1979 The Seguin Gazette} Kathy Monk Services for Miss Monk, of 1052 E. Humphrey, were held Monday, April 2, at Cross United Church of Christ of which she was a member. Rev. Clifton Freudenburg officiated. Interment followed in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Goetz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Miss Monk is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Monk of Seguin: a sister, Mrs. Christie Ashley of Houston; three brothers, William Kevin Monk of San Antonio, Robin Monk of Bryan and Michael Kelley Monk of San Marcos; a grandfather, J.A. Peterson of Kerrville; a grandmother. Lula Mae Monk of Bangs; a great-great grandmother, Mrs. W. H. Morris of Gainsville; a brother-in law, Ricky G. Ashley of Houston; a sister-in-law, Mary Migl Monk of San Antonio; and one nephew, Bradley Allen Monk of San Antonio. Pallbearers were Kolin Keller, Eric Brown, Brett Gunter, Cornell Cunningham, David Timmerman and Bob Gunter.
