MIKESKA
LIVE OAK PIONEER DIES AT CALDWELL
BEEVILLE, Tex. Jan 5 - Peter Mikeska, a native of Austria-Hungary, but long a resident of Mikeska, Live Oak County, died while visiting a daughter in Caldwell on December 31. The remains were brought here for interment Wednesday and were laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery Thursday morning. The deceased was in his 74th year; was the father of 14 children, 12 of whom are living. One son, Dr. Mikeska, is with the Rockefeller Foundation doing research work in New York City. Mikeska has been visiting among his children and while the end was sudden, it was not altogether unexpected, as he had suffered with heart attacks for 20 years.
