Judge T. Buries. Eagle Pass, Tex., Dec. 20.—Judge T.Burks, one of the oldest citizens of Eagle Pass, died last night after a lingering illness. He first located in Eagle Pass in 1355 and has resided here almost continuously since that time. [Dallas Morning News, December 21, 1891 - sub. by Janice Rice] D. J. Dollar Special to the News HENDERSON, Texas-Funeral service for D. J. Dollar, 63, who, died after a heart attack while; visiting relatives at Eagle Pass, was held at Pleasant Hill Church on Monday. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Dollar had resided here most of his life. He is survived by his wife, two sons, John A. Dollar of Dallas and Clifton H. Dollar of Eagle Pass; two daughters, Mrs. Grady Madus of Houston and Mrs. J. D. Winnett I of Henderson; a brother, F. W. Dollar of Henderson; eighteen grandchildren. [Dallas Morning News, April 26, 1955 - sub. by Janice Rice] W. B. Finan, Stockman, Dies at Eagle Pass, EAGLE PASS. Maverick Co, Texas. Feb. 19 (AP).—William B. Finan, 62. a stockman well known in Montana, Texas and Mexico, died here Sunday. Finan was born in Indian Territory, lived there as a youth, and was for a time a scout for the Federal Government He owned cattle ranches in Montana and Texas, selling them to enter ranching near Tamauiipas, Mexico. He is survived by his wife; a son, W. B Finan, and a daughter. Eva. all of whom reside at his Encino Solo ranch in Coahuila, Mexico. Funeral services and burial will be held here Monday. Nicholson. Eagle Pass. Tx., Oct. 28- Dan W. Nicholson the county attorney who has been ill for the last two weeks, died this morning. The, remains will be taken to Sequin for burial. Sproull Eagle Pass, Tex., Jan. 13.—Judge J. S. Sproull one of the oldest and most honored citizens of Eagle Pass, is dead. He was for years postmaster at Eagle Pass and had filled the offiice of county judge. He was a master mason, a consistent christian and honest man, He was buried with masonic honors, a large concourse of citizens accompanying his remains to the cemetery. Special to The News. Eagle Pass, Tex.. July 2.—News has reached here of the accidental killing on the 28th near Durango of Ed Stevens by the falling; of a pistol from the hands of James Ashley, the two being out on a camping trip.
