Wanted In Davis on Charge of Polygamy
Cecil C. Plant is under arrest at San Francisco on a charge of polygamy, being wanted by the authorities of Davis county, Utah, to answer to that charge. It is alleged that Plant, while having a wife living in California, came to Utah and married Miss Mary May, a former resident of Oregon. The marriage is alleged to have taken place at Farmington, December 24, 1904.
It is said that his last wife had no idea that he was a married man at the time she married him.
Requisition papers have been issued by Acting Gov. Tingey, and Sheriff Ware of Davis county will leave at once for San Francisco to bring back Plant for trial.
