OBITUARIES
Allred, Dan Max
Dan Max Allred, 66, died December 16, 1990 in a Roosevelt hospital of congestive heart failure.
Born July 13, 1924 in Altonah to Daniel Warren and Edith Kirby Allred.
Married Melva Madsen January 25, 1945 in Richmond, California. Max was
a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp., WW II, Occupational Forces,
Nagasaki, Japan, shortly after the atomic bomb was dropped. He was a
rancher, prospector, furniture and appliance business man, general and
electrical contractor (did electrical work on most of the oil fields,
schools, churches, and homes in eastern Utah). He loved camping,
fishing, traveled later in life and made friends everywhere. all of his
family was at his side when he passed away. We will miss him dearly.
Survived by wife, Altamont; sons and daughters, Zelva and Morris
Goodrich, Clinton; Dee Max and Cheri Allred, Altamont; Patrick and
Marianne Allred; Shanna and David Day, Chandler, Ariz.; 13
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth and Jerry
Hatch, Vernal. Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Dru,
Jack K., Burt, Marie Mecham, Med, Thomas Lyle, Doug, and Glenna Allred.
Funeral Thursday, 1 p.m. Altamont LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at
the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the
church, 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be Altonah Cemetery.

Beal, Austin A.
Austin Alma Beal, age 86, died at the home of his daughter, Nancy Gilbert, July 4, 1990.
Born January 23, 1904, in Emery, Utah, to Reynal William and Annie
Margaret Keele Beal. Married Alice Eleanor Dean August 25, 1925, in
Vernal, Utah. She died November 8, 1986.
Survived by: four sons, five daughters, Keith, West Jordan; Dean, Salt
Lake City; Mrs. LeGrand (Nancy) Gilbert, Arcadia; Mrs. Glenn (Nelda)
Mecham, Mtn. Home; Clarence, Arvada, Colorado; Larry, Altamont; Mrs.
Max (Joyce) Fisher, Altonah; Mrs. Danny (Janis) Manning, West Jordan;
Mrs. Major Richard (Marsha) Phelps, Tucson, Ariz.; 38 grandchildren; 59
great-grandchildren; one brother, three sisters; preceded in death by
two grandchildren; Ricky Street, and Debra Beal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at the Bridgeland LDS
Ward Church, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial
in the Altamont Cemetery.

Bingham, Olive
ROOSEVELT--Funeral services for Mrs. Olive Bingham, who died in Los
Angeles April 16, were conducted in the Ballard L. D. S. ward chapel
Friday afternoon. Her husband died many years ago. Mrs. Bingham was
born in Alpine. Utah, November 24, 1856. She is survived by seven sons
and daughters: Mrs. Ethel Jauert, Jed and Thornton Bingham. Los
Angeles; Charles Bingham and Mrs. Sarah Goodrick, Roosevelt: Ashal
Bingham and Mrs. Clara Young of Myton: 37 grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.

Johansen, Ardath R.
Ardath Vista Ross Johansen, age 84, died April 3, 1990.
Born July 4,
1905 in Vernal, Utah; to Francis Alexander and Etta Wardle Ross.
Married Mons Neldon Johansen June 17, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mons preceded her in death on October 3, 1977; also an infant son, Ned
Wendell in 1935; her oldest son, Neldon Ross in 1968; and two infant
great-granddaughters.
Survived by her
daughters, Arlene (Mrs. Gene Messinger), Vale, Oregon; Sharon (Mrs.
Ralph Thacker), Altamont, Utah; a son, Ryan T. and Owena Johansen,
Draper; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Funeral
services will be held Friday, April 6, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. in the
Altamont 1st Ward Chapel; where family and friends may call one hour
prior to services. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery,
where graveside services will be held Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 a.m.

Larsen, William O.
William Otto Larsen, age 87, died January 8, 1990 in Bountiful.
Born July 4,
1902 in Spring City, to James Otto and Anna Louise Ellis Larsen.
Married Agnes Kenison, November 2, 1932 in the Manti LDS Temple. She
died April 15, 1984. He was the Watkins dealer over 50 years. Was
affectionately known as Mr. Watkin's Man.
Survived by
sons and daughters, Aullen K. Larsen, Altamont; Mrs. Roy (Twila)
Pearson, Salt Lake; Mrs. KL (LaRee) Hall, Hurricane; Kirk William, and
Nolan Otto, both Myton; 26 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, four
great-great-grandchildren, sister, Cleona Remington, Bluebell. Preceded
in death by an infant son, Kendal, brothers, Allen, and Everett,
sister, Fern Merrell.
Funeral
services, Thursday 12 noon, at the Altamont LDS Church, where friends
may call 1 1/2 hours prior to services. Burial, Bluebell Cemetery.
Funeral directors, Olpin Hullinger Mortuary, Roosevelt.

Peterson, Andrew J.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Nov. 15. – The body of Andrew J. Peterson, formerly of
this city, who died last week at the mental hospital at Provo, was
taken to Duchesne for burial. His relatives from Mt. Pleasant and
Fairview attended the funeral.
Mr. Peterson was the son of Mrs. Sophia Peterson Larsen of this city.
He was born here May 15, 1871, was married to Mrs. Effie Gray of Salt
Lake City in 1909, moving to the Uinta reservation the same year. They
had resided there since. Coming here about two weeks ago to visit his
aged mother, who is seriously ill, Mr. Peterson was suddenly taken ill
and was removed to Provo, where he died a few days later.
Besides his widow and mother, he is survived by two foster children,
Mrs. Gracia Olsen and George Gray, and four children, Beth, Pearl, Emma
and Dora, all of Duchesne; four sisters, Mrs. Matilda Mills and Mrs.
Anna Omansen of this city, Mrs. Malinda Garlic of Fairview and Mrs.
Laurette Musig of Ephraim, and one brother, Frederick Larsen of Mount
Pleasant.

Seeley, Wallace J.
Wallace J. Seeley, 80, of Bluebell, Utah, died in Roosevelt Wednesday, November 7, 1990.
He was born
September 15, 1910 in Sunnyside, Carbon County, Utah. He was son of
Marion Carlos and Laura Hansen Seeley. He married Garda Goodrich July
14, 1936 in Vernal, Utah.
He was a cattle
rancher, and mechanic. He served on the Water Board for the Dry Gulch
Irrigation Company, and the Moon Lake Water Users Company. He was
member of LDS Church.
Survivers: wife
of Bluebell; children and spouses, Wallace Dal and Bea A. Seeley,
Wayland and Janet Champion, Jeanne Jacobs, all of Salt Lake City; Kirk
and Jennifer Seeley, Roosevelt; Kaye and Julie Seeley, Bluebell; Allen
and Marlene Reidhead, Orem; Don and Sueann Seeley, Roosevelt; 30
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Afton D. Seeley, Salt
Lake City; and one sister, Mrs. Fred (Betty Lou) Holladay, Santaquin.
Preceded in death by brothers Francis, Movell, and Jack; a son, LaMar;
two grandchildren, Richard and Jenny Lynne Seeley.
Funeral
services Saturday November 10, 1990 11 a.m. at the Altamont Stake
Center in Altamont. Friends call Friday evening, 7-9 p.m. at the
Olpin-Hullinger Funeral Home in Roosevelt, and at the Stake Center in
Altamont from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment, Bluebell Cemetery. Family
suggests contributions to the Missionary Fund, or the Alzheimers
Association. Funeral directors, Holladay Hills, Santaquin.
