Weekly Gazette Stockman, Reno Nevada
An Old GameA gold brick swindle was played on George C. Whitmore, President of the National Bank at Nephi, Utah Territory a few days since to the tune of $6000 in crisp new gold notes, and they have got away with the most of it successfully. There were two of the swindlers; one of them, a Spaniard, has been captured and $800 found with him.
