Whitear
At Milton, Morgan County, Oct. 15th, after an illness of one week, Lydia Melissa Rich Whitear, wife of Eli Frank Whitear, aged 19years, 11 months and 15days.

Biglion
OGDEN, Oct. 16. – Thomas Biglion, an employee of the Portland Cement company at Croydon, Morgan county, was struck by an eastbound freight train of the Union Pacific shortly after dark last night. The man had laid down on the track and went to sleep. Biglion died a short time after being struck. Before dying the man stated that he was a member of the Masonic lodge at some point in the East. The body was brought to this city this morning and will be held pending advice from his relatives in the East. Little is known of the man here.

Rich
At Richville, Morgan County, Jan. 24, after a short illness, Franklin John, eldest son of John Henry and Lydia Rich; born August 24, 1853, at Black Rock; aged 32 years and 5 months. He leaves a wife and 6 sons to mourn the death of a kind husband and an affectionate father.

Olphin
In Round Valley, Morgan County, Utah, Dec. 28th, 1879, of effusion on the brain, from diseased ear, Henry Olphin, formerly of Cam, Gloucestershire, England. Deceased was born April 6th, 1804. He embraced the gospel in the fall of 1841; was president of the Wootten-under-Edge Branch, Cheltenham Conference, and emigrated in 1859. He was a member of the High Priests’ Quorum. He leaves seven children, twenty-nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Porter
MORGAN, Nov. 2. – Mrs. Bessie Porter, wife of C. G. Porter of Porterville, died Sunday evening at the family residence, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Porter was the mother of five children, all of whom survive. They are Walter Porter, professor of chemistry at the University of California; Mrs. Levi A. Carter, Porterville; Mrs. George Brough, Richville; L. A. Porter, Porterville, and Dr. Ralph P. Porter, Logan.

Thackeray
Elsie Thackeray, aged 19, died at a local hospital yesterday of pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Thackeray of Croydon, Utah. The body will be sent to Croydon for funeral services and internment.
