In Chester, Sanpete County, Fredrick Earl, son of Fredrick H. and Miriam A. Candland, of pneumonia, after an illness of 10days. Aged 14 months and 1 day.

At Manti, June 10th, 1879, Melvin Omer, son of Chauncey W. and Priscilla Porter, aged 21 years. He was buried on his birthday. He was a member of the United Order of Orderville a faithful son, brother, well beloved and respected by all who new him - COM.

Sarah Chadwick Tooth

Deceased was an old lady having arrived at the age of 87 years. Mrs Tooth was born in Lancashire, England, and has been a resident of Manti for about 43 years. She was a strong healthy and busy lady until a week before her death. The funeral service over the remains were held in the Tabernacle Monday, February 17, where a large number of friends paid their last respect to their departed and faithful friend.

Mrs. Engborg Rasmussen Is Laid At Final Rest

Mrs. Engborg Rasmussen, one of the peioneer residents of this city, passed away at her residence Friday after an illness of pneumonia of about weeks.

Mrs. Rasmussen was born in Norway, December 3, 1842. She was married to Magnus Iverson while a young woman in her native land. She was converted to the Mormon faith, and shortly afterwards emigrated to Utah, taking with her her son. She first located in Salt Lake City, where she remained a few months, then came to Ephraim where she has since made her home.

She was married to Rasmus Rasmussen of this place, who survives her, also the following sons: Gustave Iverson, an attorney who is practicing at Price, Erastus, James and Orson who reside in this city. Mrs. Rasmussen was an officer of the Relief society for many years and was beloved by all who knew her. The funeral services were held at the tabernacle Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the Park cemetery.

Death of James Beck

The news of the death of James Beck Jr., of Centerfield, has caused deep sorrow among the many friends of the family in this city. Mr. Beck had his hand injured some time since but the injury never caused spprehension until the arm began to swell, when it was discovered that the bruise had caused blood poisoning. He went to Salt Lake for treatment, and his condition became gradually worse until Friday, when death relieved his suffering.

Mr. Beck was born in Ephraim about thirty years ago, and was the son of James Beck Sr. About ten years ago the family moved to Centerfield where Mr. Beck has been. He married Miss Lida Breinbolt of this city, who survives him, also three small children. The funeral was held at Centerfield last Wednesday. He was attended by many relatives and friends of the deceased from this city.

At Manti, Sanpete County, May 23rd, Nancy Golding, wife of Jezreal Shoemaker.
Deceased was born in Pendleton County, April 22, 1808. She joined the Church in 1846 and came to these valleys in 1847. She was among the first settlers of Bountiful, David County, as also of Sanpete Valley, in which latter place she resided until her decease. She was a faithful Saint and an affectionate mother, and esteemed by all who knew her.

Clitheroe
MOUNT PLEASANT, July 20. – Funeral services were held Monday at the Lincoln hall for Mrs. Harry Clitheroe, who died Saturday at a Salt Lake hospital, following an operation. The Rev. T. M. Keusseff was in charge of the services. The family recently moved to Mount Pleasant from Panguitch, Mrs. Clitheroe having been engaged as manual training teacher for the Wasatch academy. Mrs. Clitheroe is survived by her husband and three children – Thomas, Lena and Erick – all of this city.

The funeral of Emil Johnson, an aged and respected pioneer of Ephraim, who died Friday night from general debility, was held from the Tabernacle at noon today.

Mrs. Cecil Marie Hansen, a pioneer of Mt. Pleasant, is dead at the age of 80, after an illness lasting two years.

MANTI: Mary L. P. Tennant, wife of Alexander Tennant, Jr., of Manti, died last night. The deceased was a daughter of Judge and Mrs. Peacock.

Sorenson
At Fountain Green, Sanpete County, Utah, December 8th, 1885, Annie Christina Anderson, wife of Ole Sorenson, Jr. and daughter of Andrew and Annie Anderson; born at Moroni, Sampete County, Utah, May 22d, 1866, was married at Logan Temple August 21st 1885. She was a faithful Latter-day Saint, and was beloved by all who knew her.
