OBITUARIES
Mary Colby Anderson
AURORA--Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Colby Anderson, wife of Andrew
Anderson of Aurora and a gold star mother, who died late Sunday night
at her home here, were conducted Wednesday in the Aurora L. D. S.
chapel, with burial in Aurora City cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson
Mrs. Anderson, one of the early pioneers of this community, was born
August 6, 1859, near Spring City, moving a few years later to Holden.
She married Andrew Anderson in 1877, moving to Aurora, where they have
resided since.
Besides her husband five daughters and a son survive: Mrs. Alfred
Curtis, Mrs. Delbert Harward, Mrs. James C. Taylor and Andrew L.
Anderson, Aurora; Mrs. Joseph Shepherd, Salina; Ardie G. Anderson. Salt
Lake; a brother, James Colby, Delta; twenty-two grandchildren and
twelve great-grandchildren.

Mary Elizabeth Anderson
AURORA--Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Anderson, wife of Andrew Anderson died Monday night of infirmities incident to age.
Mrs. Anderson was born at Spring City, August 6, 1859. She was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rausford Colby of Vermont, who came to Utah in
1852 and settled at Spring City, later going to Sigurd. She was a Gold
Star mother, and active worker in the L. D. S. Church, and a member of
the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She was married to Andrew Anderson at Sigurd, December 16, 1877, and
had lived at the same farm home since. She is survived by her husband
and the following children: Mrs. Alfred Curtis, Mrs. Delbert Harward,
Mrs. James C. Taylor and Andrew L. Anderson of Aurora; Mrs. Joseph L.
Shepherd of Salina and A. G. Anderson of Salt Lake; one brother. James
Colby of Delta.
Services were held Wednesday in the Aurora chapel, directed by Bishop Levi.
