LOA: Miss Emma Taylor, one of the most popular young ladies of Loa, died Saturday from dropsy of the heart. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Taylor, pioneers of Utah, who first settled in Davis county.

Frank E. Edwards
One of the pioneers of Utah, Frank E. Edwards, died at Loa, Wayne county, yesterday at 83 years of age. He came to Utah in the early 60’s, having been born in Ohio. His wife, two sons and four daughters survive him. The children are Frank and Russell Edwards, Mrs. E. J. Kirkendall, Mrs. Thomas Durmayne, Mrs. Dan Blackburn and Mrs. Emery Larsen. Funeral services will be held at Loa, with burial in Fremont cemetery.

Peter Steele
Funeral services for Peter Steele, wealthy rancher and stockman of Hanksville, who was found dead in Salt Lake Saturday, will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Larkin-Hull chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. His brother, Mike Steele of Mulberrry, Kan., is in Salt Lake and has taken charge of the deceased’s affairs.

Lucinda Pendleton
EUREKA, Dec. 4. – Mrs. Lucinda Pendleton, wife of Lee Pendleton, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, after a ten days’ illness of typhoid fever. Mrs. Pendleton was born at Torrey, Utah, twenty-five years ago and had been a resident of Eureka for several years past, where she had many friends, who sincerely mourn her demise. She leaves a widower and two little girls. The remains were shipped to Payson this morning for burial.
