Will Close Monday
The merchants of Ogden have decided that next
Monday should be observed as a holiday, and accordingly on that day
business generally will be suspended. It will be a fitting opening
for the New Year, and will tend to energize the band of workers who
represent the commercial part of Ogden, for the duties of the coming
cycle of seasons. Their clerks will rest their aching limbs, and
partake of New Years’ refreshments in contentment, and both classes will
never regret that the day was seemingly lost, nor will they miss the
time which might have been passed in labor.
Among
those who will close on the day mentioned are the following: Z. C.
M. I., Wright & Sons, A. Kuhn & Bro., Stratford & Son,
Burton, Herrick & White, W. G. Child & Sons, Tavey & Howell,
S. J. Bart & Bros., Hopkins & Co., Boyle & Bro., Scowcroft
& Sons, Sinsin & Thomas; Browning Bros., and
others.
