On December 24th,
Mr. Hans M. Anderson, of Aspen, Wyoming, was married to Miss Alice
Eckersley of Wellsville, Utah. The ceremony was performed at the
residence of A. K. Stoddard, at Aspen, by Rev. F. L. Arnold - Utah
Chieftain.

January 3, 1888
Beautiful wedding cards have been received by a
number of persons in this city, which announce the marriage on Dec. 28,
of Mr. Wm. H. Jones, a highly esteemed young gentleman of our
acquaintance, in Brigham, and Miss Ellen Stark, daughter of Mr. Paul
Stark, and one of the charming members of they young and beautiful of
that city. The couple enter their matrimonial existence under the
most auspicious circumstances, and have a host of numerous friends to
wish them a long and happy careet, in which The Standard heartily
joins.

By cards received at this office we
learn that Charles Wadak was united in marriage with Miss Pearl
Beckwith, at Ogden, Utah, on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd, and will be at home at
Rock Springs, Wyoming, after Nov. 5th. Charley spent several years of
his early life in this city and was, for a short time, an employee of
this office but gave up the idea of being a printer and learned
telegraphy, becoming one of the best operators in this country, and
served in the Philippines as operator at the headquarters of Gen. Otis.
He has many friends here, and hereabouts who will join the Phonograph
in best for him and his bride.
