Myron B. Paddock
Torrington Telegram, (Goshen County, WY), June 19, 1919
DEATH CLAIMS ANOTHER OLD RESIDENT
Myron B. Paddock, for almost twenty years a resident of this community, died early Sunday morning for an infection
of the kidneys and bladder of several years standing. A few days prior to his death a minor operation was performed
but his condition was found to be beyond surgical help. The funeral was held this afternoon from the United Presbyterian
church and the body was laid in the family lot in Valley View cemetery. The pall bearers who were friends and neighbors
were: G. W. Gamble, Karl Nodacker, Joe Swarthout, W. M. Berry, A. B. Robertson and B. F. Smith.
Myron Baldwin Paddock was born at Dorset, Vermont, January 9, 1866. In 1885 he came to Minatare, Nebr.,
and in 1900 homesteaded the farm two miles west of Torrington where he lived until the time of his death. In 1891
he married Maud H. Fenton, at Morrill, Nebr. To them were born three children; Velma (now Mrs. Geo. Townsend),
Vernal, of Manville and Nial, who lives on the home place.
He leaves a brother, Henry, of Denver, who arrived Sunday evening, two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Coy, of
Torrington, and Mrs. Lena Querry, of Suisun, Calif., who sent word that she could not be here for the funeral.
Mr. Paddock's aged mother, Mrs. Harriet Paddock, makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Coy. He also leaves three
grand children: Marjory and Raymond Townsend and Enola Paddock.
Mrs. Townsend, the daughter, went to California, with her husband and children a few weeks ago and
up to this time has not been heard from since notified of her father's death, due to the telegraph strike.
