THOMAS EVANS
Thomas Evans was born in about 1755, in Accomack Co, Virginia.& He attended the College of William and Mary. He studied law and in 1780, 1781, 1794-1796, and in 1805 and 1806, was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Elected to the United States House of Representatives as a Federalist in 1796 and served from 1797 to 1801. He participated in the proceedings of impeachment of Tennessee Senator William Blount in 1798. He moved to Wheeling Virginia (which is now West Virginia) in 1802. He died in 1815.
