Claiborne, James B.

Dromgoole, Edward

May 13, 1835 – In Brunswick county, in his 84th year, Rev. Edward Dromgoole, father of the Hon. George C. Dromgoole; a minister of the gospel sixty-three years, and a magistrate and member of the county court forty-five years.

Field, Richard
-- In Brunswick County on the 15th instant; of a malignant Bilious fever, Mr. Richard Field, in the 23d year of his age. This young man was justly esteemed, for his amiable qualities, by all who enjoyed the pleasure of his acquaintance.

Gholson, Jane
-- Distant relatives and friends are thus informed that Mrs. Jane Gholson of Brunswick, departed this life on the 25th ultimo, at the residence of her son, Maj. William Gholson, in the 85th year of her age. She lived conscientiously-suffered under affliction pateintly, and died without fear.

Died, in Brunswick, on the 28th of January, in the 66th year of her age, Mrs. MARY GHOLSON, relict of Maj. Wm. Gholson, deceased, and mother of Judge Gholson, of Petersburg. A member of the Methodist church.

Gholson, Thomas S.
Died on the 7th inst. of acute Colitis, at the residence of Mr. Thomas S. Gholson, of Brunswick, Dr. Richard M. Hill, in the 30th year of his age. Fulsome obituary ? are so common as to be almost ridiculous; the auther of this notice will however in truth assert, that in all the domestic relations of life, the deceased was enlightly exemplary. His skill as a physician, his unremitting attention and ardent zeal in the prosecution of his profession, has introduced him into an extensive and luciative practice. The exalted vicoues of the man, the mindness and urbanity of his manners, had gained for him the confidence and love of all who knew him.

Died, in Brunswick. on the 22nd ult.. of a Disease of the Liver. Mrs. SUSAN C. PRIOR, relict of late Capt. Philip Prior, and daughter of Capt. Burwell Wilkes, deceased, aged 55 years. Connected with the Methodist church for about 18 years.

Taylor, George E.

Died at his residence in Brunswick Co., Va.. 10 Feb. 1848. George E. TAYLOR, aged 50 years, leaving a widow, seven children and an aged mother.
