$30 reward for runaway negro woman Cily,
age about 20 yrs. I purchased her of Mr Geo Greenfield, of St Mary's
Co, Md, about 2 yrs since; her father & mother belonged to Mr Henry
Turner, near Chaptico; she may have gone to the neighborhood of
Mr Thomson Mason, Va, who married Miss Thomas, of Md, & carried her
negroes there, with whom she may have connexions. She lived one yr in
Leonard Town with Andrew Oeler. -Zack Spalding, St Mary's Co, Md, adj
the seat of C Dorsey.

DICKENSON,
Col. John, of Bath Co., was murdered June 13 1831. SOURCE:

CONWAY, Capt.
Joseph, died at Bonhomme, St. Louis Co., MO, in the 69th year of his
age. He was a native of Virginia, and in early youth, came to
KY., where he took an active part in the Indian Wars. In 1793 he
removed to MO (Feb 04, 1831). SOURCE: National

AIKEN, William,
died in Charleston, March 04, after being thrown from his gig. March

CAPEN, Edward,
and Mrs. Mary ALLEN, were married in Staughton in July. (Aug 26, 1831) SOURCE:

CONNELL, Gen.
John, died March 28 in the 71st year of his age. He was a native
of Ireland, and came to this country when about 17 years of age.
During the Revolution he served as a common soldier; also served 2
years in VA Legislature and was clerk of Brooke Co. In the last
war, he commanded a Regiment of VA Militia under Gen. Harrison in the
Northwestern Army. Shortly afterwards, he received the
appointment of Brigadier General. (Pub April 15). SOURCE:
