BARBOUR
Governor JAMES BARBOUR. Governor of Virginia during the last War with Great Britain, member of the Virginia legislature, and also of Congress, held office of Secretary of War under the administration of the second Adams. He died the 8th inst. at a quarter before 12 o'clock at his residence. Had he lived till the 10th, he would have been 67.

CONWAY, Capt. Joseph, died at Bonhomme, St. Louis Co., MO, in the 69th year of his age. He was a native of Virginia, and in early youth, came to KY., where he took an active part in the Indian Wars. In 1793 he removed to MO (Feb 04, 1831).

MOODY
Samuel Moody and another white man, going a ducking in a very small canoe in Moorcock Creek, by Chickahominy Ferry, were upset and drowned the 15th instant.

SUMMERSON
Died, the 6th Sept. 1847. in his 57th year, the Rev. John SUMMERSON. A wife and family of helpless children survive. (N.S. v. 1. no. 41, 14 October 1847. p. 164.)

SWEENEY
