VETHAKE, HENRY
Henry Vethake was a native of British Guiana who was graduated from Columbia College in 1808. He practiced law and also engaged in educational work. In 1835-36 he was president of Washington College, and until 1859 he held the chair of mental and moral philosophy. He died in 1866 at the age of seventy-four.
