CALBRAITH - BROWNLEE
Mr. Thomas P. Calbraith and Miss Sarah A. Brownlee, of Roanoke were married Thursday morning at an early hour in the Presbyterian church by Rev. Dr. Thornton Whaling. A few friends and quite a number of spectators were present to witness the ceremony. Mrs. Calbraith is a daughter of the late James C. Brownlee, of Springfield, near Natural Bridge, and the third sister in turn to wed Mr. Calbraith each secceeding one having waited on the other until time of death. Mr. and Mrs. Calbraith, before marriage, spent several days with friends near here, and drive into town Thursday morning after breakfast. They left on the morning train for their future home in Roanoke.

HARRIS - SPROUSE
Mr. Harry G. Harris and Miss Leuna L. Sprouse were married at 8 o’clock on Thursday evening last January 6th, 1898, at the residence of Mrs. Mary J. Ruley, on Shield’s Hill. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. A. Penick in the presence of a few friends of the contracting parties.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Sprouse, of Whistle Creek.
Mr. Harris is a valued employee of this office, having been connected with the Gazette for the past ten years.
The Gazette extends congratulations, wishing for both a long, prosperous, and happy life.
