WAUGH, SAMUEL
Died in Brownsburg, Virginia, on the 12th of August last, Mr. Samuel Waugh, son of Mr William Waugh of Adams County. He went to Wilksbourough, North Carolina, about four years ago and took a tour to Georgia last winter, where he took ill and return to Wilks in April, where two brothers lived, in a weak state and having great desire to come to his parents, his brother David set away with him the beginning of July, and with difficulty they got as far as Mr. Patterson's in Brownsburg, but he was able to proceed no further, where his brother attended him till he made his exit.

DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT.- Rev. John H. Wilkinson a former resident of this county, died at his home in Blair County, Pa., Tuesday, February 20, 1000, in the 90th year of his age.. Mr. Wilkinson was born in Rockbridge County near Lexington and was a brother of the late Dr. V.T. A. Wilkinson, of Collierstown, Va., and S.F. Wilkinson, of Oak Dale.
At the age of seventeen he went to Bedford County, Pa., where he resided until a few years before his death. He joined the M. E. Church when a young man and was for many years an earnest and efficient preacher, and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all
