Brender Canyon-Near Dryden in Chelan County. It was named for A.B. Brender, the first white settler in the canyon, 1882. (A. Manson, in Names MSS, Letter 300.) {Source: Origin of Washington Geographic Names, 1923} Domke Lake-drains through Domke Creek into the northwestern part of Lake Chelan, in Chelan County. There is a mountain in that locality bearing the same name. The name is in honor of the first settler in that vicinity. It is sometimes spelled "Dumpky."
