    St. Louis, August 24-Frank Trouh of Vancouver, Washington, today won the national singles championship in the first day of the grand handicap shoot which has brought together the crack shots of the United States. The champion hung up a score of 99 out of a possible 100, and hit the bull's eye 79 consecutive times.

CIRCUS IS ROBBED OF $30,000 BY BANDITS
    Portland, Ore.-Three unmasked robbers held up the Sells-Floto circus treasurer late last night at Vancouver, Washington, and obtained between $28,000 and $30,000 in cash and drafts, according to a report to Vancouver, Washington police.
    The robbers were said to have knocked down Mrs. Grace Hennaford, 60, and her son "Poodles" Hanaford, who objected to the search of his mother. The money was being transferred in a truck from the circus grounds to the safe in the treasury car in the railroad yards.
