CROSS
Micajah Cross, Sr., died at Dayton, Wash., last Monday. His death was not unexpected. He had been suffering from the infirmities of old age for many months. For the past three months he has been sick, and most of the time confined to his bed. He died at the advanced age of 78 years. Mr. Cross came from Ohio, crossing the plains in 1863. He settled near Walla Walla, but went to Dayton in 1870, where he had resided ever since. His wife died in 1882, and two or three years later he went east and married again. REV. J.H. WARREN IS DEAD
Prominent Clergyman Passes Away At Dayton, Washington
Dayton, Wash., February 17-The Rev. J.M. Warren, D.D., died suddenly today at the home of his son in law, Dr. M. Pietrzycki. The deceased, who was in his eighty-sixth year, had but recently come to Dayton from California, where he had spent fifty-four years of his life. He was for many years the superintendent of home missions conducted by the Congregational denomination. Probably no clergyman in California was ever more widely known than the deceased.
