   Announcements have been received here by friends and relatives, telling of the marriage of Mr. Wood H. Powell to Miss Allie E. Forry, of Pomeroy, Washington, the marriage was at Pomeroy May 13, 1922.
   Mr. Powell is the son of the late D.H. Powell and Mrs. E.G. Powell, of this place. For several years he has been located in Pomeroy. He is a young attorney, having completed the law course of the State University of North Carolina and later at the State University of Washington, after receiving license to practice law in the State of North Carolina. He is now clerk of Superior court of Garfield county, Washington. He has many friends here and elsewhere who will be surprised to hear of his marriage.

Pomeroy, Wash. Sept. 6 – A quiet wedding took place at the home of Dr. and Mrs. G.B. Kuykendall last evening, when their third daughter, Bessie, was married to L.G. Dake [sic] , the Rev. D.S. Sanderson of Freewater, Ore., officiating. Only relatives of the bride were present.The bride was born and reared in Pomeroy. The bridegroom is teacher of the eighth grade in the public schools and a graduate of the university of Illinois.
