Mt. Hope Cemetery

Mt. Hope Cemetery is located at the end of a gravel road extending north of Marshall Hill Road near Deming, WA. To reach the cemetery from I-5, take the Sunset exit/Exit 255. Proceed east on Sunset Drive (it becomes the Mt. Baker Highway after about 2 miles) until you reach Deming. At the east end of Deming you will come to Marshall Hill Road. Turn left (north) and continue for .4 of a mile until you reach Cronk Road. Turn left (north) on Cronk Road and continue .4 of a mile until the road splits. Follow the dirt road on the left (along the fence) until you reach the end of the road. The cemetery is not marked and not immediately visible. If you look closely, you will see small trails leading into the woods. Follow any of these and you will find headstones. It may take a lot of walking, there are numerous stones, all covered by brush.
Both Mt. Hope Cemetery and Case Cemetery are sometimes referred to as "Deming Cemetery" which results in a lot of confusion.
