WASHINGTON COLONEL DEAD
New Whatcom, Wash., June 5-Colonel J.J. Wiesenberger, commanding the First regiment national guard, of Washington, died here today, aged 46. Death resulted from cerebral meningitis. Colonel Wiesenberger distinguished himself in the war in the Philippines, in which he served as major in the First Washington regiment and was given a lieutenant colonelcy in the regular regiment for his gallant services.
