On Tuesday morning, the 12th instant, after a protracted illness of some months, in the 50th year of his age, Mr. PATRICK KAIN, a native of Ireland.
Mr. K. has been a resident of this City for the last 20 years, and it may truly be said that a more honest and upright man could not be found. It has,
with great propriety, been said of the deceased, that those who knew him best, esteemed him most. As a husband and parent, he acted well his
part - and as a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, he stood pre-eminent for every virtue Mild and unassuming in his manners, he secured
the confidence and esteem of all who conversed with him. To his family his loss is irreplaceable, and the Church will long deplore the loss of pious
example.
His friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend his funeral this afternoon at 4 o'clock, from his later dwelling, corner of 4th and L streets, Sooth, near the Navy Yard without further notice.
MASONIC
