WASHBURN, Wis., Aug. 22. – A golden wedding anniversary attended by five children of the principals, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 135 invited guests was celebrated in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Frechette, West Pine street, last night. The home was decorated by golden streamers and lights.

Many valuable gifts, including a purse with gold were presented Mr. and Mrs.
Frechette. They have lived in this city for 27 years. To them have been born 15 children, only five of whom are living. These live here. They are Joseph and Henry Frechette, Mrs. Louis Lizzotte, Mrs. C. J. Bluhm and Mrs. Ed Douglas.

WASHBURN, Wis., Sept. 12. – Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Stein celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They have lived in the township of Washburn for 25 years. Stein served years ago as a county supervisor and has been township treasurer.

WASHBURN, Wis., May 31. – Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Trockstad, Bayview, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their home in the village of Houghton. There was a large gathering of old friends and neighbors present.

The couple were married at Drammen, Norway, 50 years ago, but came to this country while they were not comparatively young people, and for the past 30 years have been residents of the town of Bayview where they own and operate a farm. Mr. Trockstad is 80 years of age, a wagonmaker by trade, and is still active around his farm where he does a great part of the work. They have three sons and three daughters. Two of the daughters, Mrs. A. Nicholson of Houghton, and Mrs. C. A. Anderson, and daughter of Chicago, and one son Alex, of Houghton attended the event. Two sons, William, a farmer of North Dakota, and Edward of Canada, were unable to be present.
