The Foresters’ ball last Monday night, was a remarkably pleasant affair. The attendance was a large as the hall could possibly accommodate. A fine supper was served in the old church by the ladies. All who attended *** Note: The rest of the article was cut off and was not available at the time of transcription.

* Among the improvements now in progress in the east half of the town, town of Colby, are, new farm houses for A. Steinwand, Wm. Mueller, Peter Beyerl and Fred Hess; new barns for Julius Kops, Wm. Liepert, B. Kramer, Aug. Radtke, R. B. Salter and John Wiedenhoeft, this with the three new cheese factories, makes a pretty fair showing for one year. Our reporter got footsore before getting into the west end of town.
