Krueger, Fred (16 Jul. 1896 – 12 Feb. 1930)

* Fred Krueger of the town of Green Grove died in the hospital at Chippewa Falls Wednesday morning, Feb. 12th, following an operation for appendicitis. Funeral services will be held at the house Saturday afternoon, February 15th, at 1:00 o’clock and the funeral procession will then proceed to the Reformed church at Curtiss where church services will be held. The deceased was thirty-five years of age and leaves his wife and three small children, the oldest of whom is eight years.

Krueger, Gerhard H. (27 Apr. 1918 – 9 May 1960)

* Funeral services were held Sunday at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby for Gerhard H. Krueger of Phoenix, Ariz., a former resident of the town of Green Grove, who died Monday at Phoenix, after a lingering illness, at the age of 42 years. Rev. Howard A. Timmerman of St. Paul’s Lutheran church at Green Grove officiated and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were John Nurtard, Arthur Laabs, Lester Krueger, Arnold Krueger, Alvin Krueger and Raymond Kobs.
Mr. Krueger was born on April 27, 1918, at Green Grove. He served four years in the armed forces and was stationed overseas three years. After his discharge, he returned to a farm in the town of Green Grove which he operated until 1956 when he moved to Phoenix for his health. He married the former Esther Senhenn at Columbus on October 20, 1945. He was a member of the American Legion and served on the Atwood School Board.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Gerhard, Jr., and Everett Krueger; two daughters, Charlotte and Theresa; his mother, Mrs. William Krueger; two sisters, Mrs. Emil (Viola) Untiedt, Sr., and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Gosse of Curtiss; a brother, Melvin Krueger of Athens. His father, William Krueger, preceded him in death.
Krueger, Madeline (23 June 1893 – 5 Dec. 1960)

* Mrs. Lena Krueger of Curtiss died at the Marshfield hospital Monday morning at 9:50 at the age of 87 years, complications following a cerebral operation being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Green Grove, Rev. Howard Timmermann officiating and burial will be made in the Green Grove cemetery.
Madeline (Lena) Glenzer was born in the town of Colby on June 23, 1893. She married William Krueger in Colby in 1911 and lived in the Curtiss-Colby area during her entire life with the exception of several years when she worked at the Clark County Hospital at Owen. Her husband passed away in 1958.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Emil (Viola) Untied of Curtiss and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Gosse of Curtiss; one son, Melvin, of Milan; 17 grand children and two great grand children.
Besides her husband, one son, Gerhardt, preceded her in death in May, 1960, three brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Krueger was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and always endeavored to live up to the teachings of her church. She was well known for her friendly and industrious ways, always endeavoring to perform her duties honestly and well.
Krueger, Patricia Ann (31 Aug. 1945 – 16 Apr. 1952)

* Patricia Ann Krueger, 5, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Krueger, Milwaukee, died at St. Luke’s hospital there, Wednesday, April 16. She was ill with meningitis for only five days, preceding her death.
Funeral services were held Sunday morning at 11:15 at the Evangelical Lutheran church, Green Grove, after which internment was made in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Paul Dietz conducted the services during which Herbert Juneau, Abbotsford, served as organist and sang “Behold A Host Arrayed in White,” and “Tender Shepherd Thou Hast Stilled.”
Pallbearers were Robert Krueger and Roland Stahnke, Milwaukee; Marlyn Sommer, Owen; and Leonard Wachsmuth, Wausau.
The flowers were carried by Miss Diane Hennlich, Milwaukee; Miss Phyllis Stacke and the Misses Evelyn and Vivian Miller, Curtiss.
Patricia Ann was born Aug. 31, 1945, at Green Grove. For the first nine months of her life, she lived with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stacke.
She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Paulette, 9, and Kathleen, 4, her grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krueger, Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wolk, Green Grove.
Among those from away attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Stahnke, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Straessle, the Misses Viola and Evelyn Rantner, and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hennlich and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sommer, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stocker, Otto Sommer, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sommer and Sharon, Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wachsmuth, Wausau; and relatives from Owen, Curtiss, and Abbotsford.
