Florence Fischer

ASHLAND, Wis., June 21. – Miss Florence Fischer, a teacher in the city schools, died today at the hospital of typhoid fever. Miss Fisher had been sick about three weeks and her death was expected for some days. Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, of Fond du Lac, her parents, were at the bedside when the end came.

The body has been taken to Fond du Lac for burial.


Alfred E. Haddy
Alfred Edward Haddy, 68, Nasbro, died unexpectedly this morning at his home.
He was born July 14, 1896, the son of Frank and Anna Becker Haddy. He was married May 25, 1945, at St Andrew's Church, Le Roy, to Irene Vozell. He was an employe of the Milwaukee Road for many years. He retired from his position at the Western Lime and Cement Co. in 1960.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Gerald and Charles, both at home; and a brother, Arthur, Mayville.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira, and 9:30 a.m. from St Andrew's Church, Le Roy,  Rev. Anthony Gundrum officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mark Robert Harrison

Fond du Lac, Wis., Dec. 6. – Mark Robert Harrison, the celebrated artist, died at his home in this city at an early hour this morning. He was in his 76th year. He was born at Hervingham, Yorkshire, England, September 7, 1819.

Mr. Harrison in 1843 painted the Death of Abel, which attracted attention in this country and Europe.
 



Garrett W. Hyink
Funeral services for Garret  W. Hyink, who died Thursday, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Candlish Chapel, the Rev. Howard. G. VandeGuchte officiating. Mrs. Lawrence Galow was at the organ and Mrs. Donald Rauwerdink of Oostburg was soloist. Burial was in Rienzi Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayme Pluim, Melvin Pftiim, Peter Opperman. Lamar RetzSeff. Gordon Dane, and Donald Rauwerdink.
