DOROTHY ANN LEWALLEN
POCAHONTAS, ARK -- DOROTHY ANN LEWALLEN, 77, of Pocahontas died Wednesday, Jan. 1, (2003) at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.
Born in Fondulac, Wis., she retired as a teacher at St. Paul Schools in Pocahontas after 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, George Lewallen III of Augusta, Ga., and Tim Lewallen of Jonesboro, AR; one daughter, Georgia Beuscher of Jacksonville, AR; one brother, William B. Barnett of Fountain Hill, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Sheri Floyd of Jonesboro and David Polen of Jacksonville; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewallen II.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with David Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery at Pocahontas. McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A rosary will be at 6 p.m.

MRS. LINDLEY DIES AT 89 AFTER ILLNESS
Fox Lake Funeral Rites Scheduled; Survivors Listed
Mrs. Frank Lindley, 89,  formerly of Fox Lake, died Friday at a Dodgeville hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from the First Congregational Church in Fox Lake with Rev. A. E. Wichmann officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Fox Lake.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Kratz Funeral Home there until noon Sunday when the body will be moved to the church.
The former Catherine Grebe, was born Feb. 11, 1889, at Hartford, the daughter of Christian and Marie Jung Grebe. She moved with her family to Canada Island near Fox Lake at the age of 4 and resided in the area for the last 20 years, recently moving to Dodgeville. She married Frank Lindley on Dec. 31, 1901.
Survivors include her widower; one daughter, Mrs. Edith Robinson  of Dodgeville; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons of Madison; four sisters, Mrs. Raymond McCarthy, Mrs.  Ricka  Dette and Mrs. Sadie Cochrane, all of Fox Lake, Mrs. O. B. Poore of California, and one brother, Fred Grebe of Randolph. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lindley was a member of First Congregational Church in Fox Lake, of the Ladies  Aid Society there and of the Order of the Eastern Star.
