Miscellaneous Newspaper Gleanings
Undoubtedly the oldest inhabitant of Wisconsin is Michael Krueger, of Manchester, Green county. He is 113 years old, having been born, according to the best data at his command, Oct. 15, 1774, in Posen, Prussia. He well remembers the Napoleonic wars, and was himself pressed into service for the disastrous Russian campaign of 1812. He is the father of nine children, seven of them sons.
