- Miss Julia Fitzgerald and Miss Mary Hung left thursday for St. Paul, where Miss Fitzgerald will visit her sister, Mrs. E.L.? Pond, Miss Hunt going to Fargo, Dak.
- Arthur Holbrook, Anson and Lester May, who have been spending the holidays with their families in the city, will return on Monday to Madison, to resume their studies at the university.
- Miss Garry, who has been visiting Miss Irene Howland, Cass street, for several weeks past, has returned to her home in Chicago.
- Miss More, of Madison, who has been the guest of Miss Hattie Merrill, Jackson street, for a week past has returned home.
- Miss Eva Frattinger gave an enjoyable dancing party on New Year's evening to about twenty of her friends.
- Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Kassoa gave a dinner on New Year's day at their home on Franklin street to a number of relatives and friends.
- H.W. Wright, the well-known Merrill lumberman, was in the city today.
- E.M. Engelman, of Leadville, is here visiting friends.
- J.W. Mariner, left today over the St. Paul Road for Boston.
