Wins Bride in Spite of Parents Objection
Menomonie, Wis., - April 10 - After six years' separation and hard work, George Wade, 27 years old, of Dunn County, Wis., and Etta Shaw, 21 years old, of Pierce county, Wis., were married in the Ramsey county, Minn., courthouse. The couple had been school friends. The girl's parents refused to accept Wade as a son-in-law until he accumulated more of a fortune. Wade went to Butte, Mont., six years ago, with $3.75 and some determination. He worked and saved and watched. Two weeks ago he found he had a competency. Telegrams were exchanged. The couple is returning to Dunn county, Wis., where Wade has already arranged to purchase a home.
