Stevens Point Daily Journal (Stevens Point, Wis.) Saturday, Feb. 1, 1908; transcribed by Marla Zwakman

Clarence Ekern of Waupaca passed away at 9 o'clock Sunday night at the home of his aunt, Mrs. M. Rogers, at 323 North Second street after an illness of several months with tuberculoses. He has never enjoyed rugged health and has been in a decline for upwards of a year. He came to Stevens Point about sixteen weeks ago.

The deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Ekern, former residents of this city. Both passed upwards of a dozen years ago and are buried in Forest cemetery. This young man was raised by his grandmother at Waupaca, but for the past two years has lived with other relatives in and near that city. The only surviving member of his immediate family is a brother, William, who resides in Montana. The deceased was born at Waupaca and would be 18 years old on April 30.

The funeral was held from the Rogers residence at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, Rev. G. A. Sundby officiating.
