RACINE, Wis., April 27. 1886
John Konda went out hunting ducks yesterday. When about three miles north of this city, he got a shot, but the barrel burst and Konda was seriously injured about the head, his face being badly mangled. The sight of one eye was destroyed by a piece of steel which entered it

A young son of
Fred Larson, who lives near North Point, just north of the city, was attacked by a bull-dog, left chained in the barn, and was badly wounded before assistance came. The boy is frightfully bitten in the right arm and side, but a fatal result is not expected.

MANGLED BY MACHINERY
RACINE, Wis., Aug. 15 -- Special Telegram -- A horrible accident occurred at Keinkert's brewery in this city this morning, which will probably result in the death of August Cimke, an employe. [sic]  The young man entered the malt machine when it was not running to clean it.  Some one set the machine in motion and turned on the steam so that it filled it.  Cimke was badly scalded and mangled, suffering a compound fracture of one leg.  Had not his shovel got into the gearing and stopped the machinery he would have died there.
