Canniff - Isaacson

Mr. William Canniff of Haven, and Mrs. Lizzie Isaacson of Janesville, Wis., were united in marriage June 15, by the probate judge of this county, at Hutchinson. Mr. Canniff is well known throughout this community, being a well-to-do farmer. Last spring he traded for the Parks property, close to town, and he had everything fixed up around there to make a peasant home, when he captured his bird. Mrs. Isaacson comes here from Janesville highly recommended as an estimable lady, and the JOURNAL wishes the happy couple prosperity and happiness through life.


Cobb - Gove

Cards of invitation are received to attend the wedding of Earl C. Cobb, of this city, and Miss Mary L. Gove, of Fulton, Rock County, on Wednesday, Oct. 19th. Earl has made a good many friends since his residence here and all will welcome him and his bride, heartily, when they come.


 Cook - Woskie

The marriage of Mina Gertrude Woskie of Beloit and Richard H. Cook of Columbus, Ohio, took place at the St. Paul Lutheran church at one o’clock Monday, August 14th, Rev. H. A. Miechlke reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. Miechlke played the organ and Mrs. Esther Lescrig of Chicago sang “Because.”

The bride was attired in a dark navy blue street length dress with an orchid corsage and pin and earrings, a gift of the groom. Mrs. Albert Horn of Milwaukee acted as matron of honor and wore a brown street length dress and a corsage of gladiolas. Mr. Albert Horn served as best man in a light gray suit.

A reception for relatives and friends followed after the service at the bride’s home.

After a wedding trip of unannounced destination, the couple will return to Beloit for a few days before going on to Columbus, Ohio.

The bride is a former Colbyite, but, for the past year, has made her home in Beloit. Mr. Cook is with the Westington House Corp.
 


Rockenfield - Vandervort

MISS VANDERVORT, DAVID ROCKENFIELD NUPTIAL IS HELD
Vows of marriage were exchanged by Miss Kathleen Lou Vandervort and David Robert Rockenfield last Saturday. The Rev. Kendrick Strong officiated in the First Congregational Church for the daughter of Gale DeWitt Vandervort, Evansville, and the late Mrs. Vandervort and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rockenfield, 2313 Elizabeth St.

The bride was attended by Miss Deb Smalley and George Geise was best man for Mr. Rockenfield. Miss Carolyn Hauger, Miss Kathleen Popanz and Mrs. J. Norman Kirk were aides. Groomsmen were William Natz, Mark Vandervort and Bruce Rockenfield. Thomas Geise and Michael Warmke ushered.

200 guests attended the reception at the 19th tee. Mr. and Mrs. Rockenfield honeymooned in Milwaukee and are living at 204 1/2 S. Pine St.

The bride is a senior in secondary education of the University of Wisconsin. Her husband attended the University of Wisconsin Rock County Campus and was discharged from the Army in May, 1967. He is employed by Super Valu, Janesville.
